Our story

In Scandinavia, footwear has always been defined by the demands of extreme cold, snow, and wet terrain, traditions that stretch back to Indigenous communities like the Sámi who crafted fur-lined boots for survival in cold conditions. Across the Nordics, time outdoors is part of everyday life from urban streets to mountains, forests and frozen lakes.

Powerboots traces its origins to the 1970s, when a clear need emerged for footwear that could perform reliably in harsh, wet, and freezing conditions. That founding idea still guides us today continuously refined, rigorously tested, and proven through decades of real-world use.

What makes Powerboots different

Made in Europe, every pair of Powerboots is built using an advanced material engineered for performance. Millions of microscopic, closed air bubbles are embedded within the polyurethane construction, providing natural insulation that locks in warmth while keeping the cold out.
